Additional Achievements
My passion for food and cooking led me to meet some of the most talented professional chefs and pastry chefs in France, Europe, and all over America.
But the best times would hardly seem related to cooking, like how my passion for music landed me an introduction to incredible jazz talent in Chicago. I also became acquainted with members of the Chicago Civic Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and the incredible conductor, Maestro Daniel Baremboim.
Early years of cooking for restaurants, hotels, and the Savoy in London, led me to see some of the best live musical performances of the ’60’s, from Jimmy Hendrix, to the Moody Bloze, and even the Beatles!
When I was welcomed to the USA with a contract to be a chef in one of the most incredibly popular resorts in Chicago, I had opportunities on a weekly basis to meet amazing people. These included Jack John, Red Bottom, Liza Minnelli, Sami Davis Jr, Body Rich, Sarah Vohn, and many more. In retrospect, it would’ve been nice to have had a camera ready with me back then!
